The Two Heads Open takes place at Poimena Reserve Disc Golf Course in South East Tasmania, just 420km from the cleanest air in the world.
There is a theory that suggests, the cleaner the air, the lower the air resistance.
in disc golf speak…cleaner air, means longer drives.
suck it in, rip it out.
This is the first event of the 2010 Australian Disc Golf National Tour.
Players from all over the country, and possibly further, will be gathering.
Poimena Reserve is a beautifully challenging disc golf course, characterised by its elevation changes, bush and parkland terrain, sloping greens and stunning vistas over the River Derwent and Mount Wellington.
The current Two Heads Open Champion, Martin Ryland-Adair, thinks Poimena is ‘the best public disc golf course in Australia’.
The main competition is singles stroke-play running over two days. Two rounds per day, minimum of 54 holes. The climax to the tournament is the Open Division Final on Sunday afternoon.
Two Heads is one of the great Australian disc golf weekends of 2010, we’d love to see ya here.
